Episode 105 'Back to the Future'

What's that proverbial phrase that people say? When life gives you lemons... Well fuck those lemons!  Perhaps I'm a little frustrated because I am currently harvesting lemons for a quest on Farmville 2 ' Escape to the Country' and they take so long to grow. I have an order of lemonade to produce and Eagle Eyed Eddie will not suffer another late delivery.  Life is not giving me any metaphorical lemons at the moment. There seems to be a void and an endless limbo between the past and the future. I feel like my career in animation can continue and can, if I push myself a little more, lead me to some wonderful projects and studios. This limbo I speak of is a result, unfortunately, of a few life changes that have been occurring over the past 6-12 months. It has set my mind into a whirlwind of questions that have no answers. But I know I can get through it. Art must be the answer.  So my plan will begin with revisiting my collections of artwork. Quite a simple task, but one th...

Episode 43 'The Imperial March'

For the love of my Jesus Action Figure, I have been neglecting you. It has indeed been over a month since my last update, resulting in this outburst. I could perhaps present this post in my characteristically rambling manner but I might erode the keyboard. Therefore, I have decided to upstage the writing and give you a show and tell publication. Here is the month of March shown to you in the visually simple medium of pictures: March 1st  Wall Paint became official traders. March 2nd Designs for my good friend Peter Kitson concerning his idea for an animated show called 'The adventures of Baron Womb and friends'. March 3rd Wall Paint's first client for the Leamington Spa area. Simple but effective.  March 6th Drawing practice: the real reason why I worked at the go kart track for all those years. March 9th I became the proud owner of a Hasbro Star Wars toy stash from the 70's. Only I may touch them. March 10th A design put together on Photo...

It has been a ridiculous amount of time since my last entry. Something which I am not proud of because I know for a fact that it proves my lack of motivation - in other words being bloody lazy. But this doesn't involve me sitting around at home and playing with myself as I have been rather productive within many aspects of my post University life. My first priority was of course the CV. It took me a while to adjust to the fact that I may have to work in some real shitty jobs so as to earn my keep, but I have now perfected two types of curriculum vitae. One for the likes of Asda or a random pub and one for the animation world. When I say the animation world, I basically mean anything involving what I've been doing over the past few years; model making, film editing, Foley sound effect work, set construction or, of course, pure animating! Cover layout for the DVD case. Re-named CVD I initially didn't know how to present my CV. There is a previous blog post where I ha...
