So July has been a month of good news and countless propositions for me. Some have been honourable with a multitude of career prospects, whilst some have a more personal touch and giving me titles such as The Godfather and 'that guy who filmed our wedding'. Either way, even without getting the job down in Kent for the Animate and Create Studios , I deem it a productive month for networking and getting that little bit closer to freelancing glory. I shall talk about the interview later, however, because I have an incredible announcement to make. As I write this new entry I have actually lost all energy in physical form, however, my strong will to do something productive has prevailed. I have left my job as a catering assistant at Princethorpe College and just returned from an intense seven day drinking excursion to the cultural and peaceful coastal village of Ayia Napa, therefore, this day signifies the new adventures of Tom's Thumb. In between recovering by the pool and having yet another McDonalds meal (it truly was one of the most unhealthiest weeks of my life; I loved it!) I have just returned from what ought to be a New Years resolution, however, I have been jogging constantly for the past few months. I like to think that I can keep up more of a routine throughout 2012, but between you and me... this is highly unlikely. Perhaps this year I can simply work on my motivational skills and stop watching Lost or spend hours mulling over my determination to spend a full day sculpting (when truthfully I would dedicate a forced 45 minutes). So there we go; from typing out this paragraph I have given myself a resolution to (quote) STOP BEING LAZY (unquote). It has been a ridiculous amount of time since my last entry. Something which I am not proud of because I know for a fact that it proves my lack of motivation - in other words being bloody lazy. But this doesn't involve me sitting around at home and playing with myself as I have been rather productive within many aspects of my post University life. My first priority was of course the CV. It took me a while to adjust to the fact that I may have to work in some real shitty jobs so as to earn my keep, but I have now perfected two types of curriculum vitae. One for the likes of Asda or a random pub and one for the animation world. When I say the animation world, I basically mean anything involving what I've been doing over the past few years; model making, film editing, Foley sound effect work, set construction or, of course, pure animating!
